📣How to Utilize Slack
This page covers the most popular slack channels so you can jump into the community
If you are being harassed, or witness someone else being harassed or otherwise uncomfortable, or if you think anyone is in violation of Tech Fleet's Code of Conduct for ANY other reason, the community needs your help. Please report a Code of Conduct concern. We protect and support whomever reports. Read through all Policies and ensure you always abide by them, and help report violations.
Tech Fleet Slack
Slack is our online community hub that's currently in use. We might use other tools in the future. Right now all of our communications as a community happen in Slack where people can get news, help, project work, and other support.

Tips for Slack
Slack "channels" are where all the communications happen in and out of Tech Fleet programs. Teams have their own channels and there are general channels to follow as well.
Check the "Topic" for descriptions of each channel.
Check the "pinned posts" for important messages that previously happened in a channel.
Be sure to enable 2 factor authentication in your Slack account for security.
Follow the Slack Policies guide, and follow all of the code of conduct in Slack.
Remove notifications or mute channels when you don't want to receive notifications for them.
To avoid being overwhelmed, you can leave or mute yourself from channels where you don't want to get alerts.
Use the search function to find things you might have lost in Slack.
Join the channels you want to be alerted to, like the common ones below, to get updates. You can also sign up for the mailing list to receive updates less often, but you might miss updates that happen.
